WHAT IS YOUR DREAM PORTRAIT SESSION?
Is there a specific location? A specific look that you are interested in? Most people go into a portrait session with an image or a location in mind.
Do not be afraid to share your ideas with me so that I can help make your vision come to life!
And if your vision is not something that I can give you then I will help you find someone who will!
WHO IS YOUR DREAM PHOTOGRAPHER?
When you think of a photographer you probably think that photographers can photograph anything. While most skilled photographers do know how to set up the lighting for various situations and they know how to pose their clients, we do not always specialize in certain fields. Why does this matter?
For starters, photographers wear MANY hats.
Not only do most small business photographers know how to use a camera, we also know how to use Photoshop pretty efficiently, how to set up studio lighting.... AND we are marketers, counselors, accountants, CEO's, office managers, craftsman, and so much more!
THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALWAYS EVOLVING
There is so much information out there and a million ways to do things. Some photographers like dark and moody, some like light and airy, some like more theatrical images, and some love doing composites.
When a photographer specializes in certain things, such as weddings or newborns then they have the ability to craft their skill.
For example, with newborns you must learn how to wrap them properly, what it takes to get them to sleep, how to get them into certain poses, etc... and not only that but you have to have the props available for those things. If you specialized in everything then it would limit your ability to hone your skills in specific areas.
Not every photographer is fit for every type of photography.
I personally do not like doing events and this includes weddings. I am also not a product photographer. I spend most of my energy focused on women's portraiture and newborns. I also really love headshots and modeling portraits.
